I used to know a guy named Brain. They made a mistake at the hospital just after he was born and typed »Brain« instead of »Brian.« You'd think something like that would really mess someone up, but Brain loved his name – wore it like a feather in his hat.
I washed my brain last night and now I can't do a thing with it.
The brain sits there, in a tank of bubbling nutrients, apparently just... thinking.
Sometimes I think my brain is it's own entity.
I tell it to do something for me and it's like a kid – sticks its tongue out at me and does nothing.
And then sometimes, I'd be just sitting there, doing nothing in particular and all of a sudden my brain starts jumping up and down yelling at me that it found the answer to a question I never asked it to solve.
Most of the time we get along real well.
Right now, we don't.
