I can't understand inflicting a habit like this on yourself. It seems so unfulfilling, yet so self-destructive and addictive. At least, like, doing crack or shooting heroin might give you some kind of high-- but smoking appears to have no specific positive side-effects, while having an unbelievable number of negative ones.
