St Maarten/St-Martin, in the Caribbean, is at merely 36 square miles the smallest piece of territory shared by two nations (Holland and France). The island is home to nearly 100 nationalities speaking over two dozen languages and using three currencies. Surely it is, pound for pound, the most cosmopolitan piece of rock on this planet.
I don't think I would like living on an island. I am much too fond of starting to ramble off towards the horizon.
