Most westerners are appalled by the thought of eating dogmeat. But why? It is simply muscle tissue, high in protein, like the meat of dead cows or pigs or chickens.

In case you're interested, dogmeat is similar to pork, though oilier and a bit redder. It is not to my taste. (But then, neither is blood sausage or whale meat.)

If you like it, eat it. If you don't, don't. But stop turning up your nose at what many people consider an exquisite dish.

Go have some bean curd.
