Sorrow

'A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief'. Yes, but before that happened, he must surely also have been a man of some cheerfulness, even joy, and a sense of humour. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been so kind, understanding and beloved of so many.

The sorrow of departure is more than made up by the joy of reunion.

The true tragedy of sorrow was summed up (as so much else was) in 'The Little Prince': »I could not reach him – it is such a lonely place, the Land of Tears«.

Sorrow will take care of the understanding of greater meanings of life, the soul floats on sorrow

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening


WHOSE woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer

Sorrow can break your heart, if not physically, then certainly metaphorically.

Sorrow is a quite strange feeling. Sometimes you think it will break your heart into pieces. Sometimes you might even miss sorrow, just because you want to know if you are still able to feel anything.
