The burning itch of my eyes, neon numbers dancing in the air; laughing at me. This is my hell, this is my every night, this is my insomnia.
On the nights i can't sleep I have many wonderful thoughts and revelations. I make grand plans and get very excited wishing it was morning so I could start on the wonderful adventure of my life... then I wake from a dream where someone is trying to slash my wrists after a fitful 2 hour snatch of sleep with a horrible headache and a mouth that feels like it has been sucking 9v batteries. I am sluggish, irritable and generally unproductive.
insomnia seems to be a punishment. sleep is so precious, so healthy, so good.
