Poverty

Poverty happens to be, to my experience, the state of the vast majority of people, whether it be poverty of pocket, spirit, imagination or will. It must be a very popular state otherwise why would so many people be doing it? I never met a poor person who didn't have more pride than they could afford; or principles; or morals; or qualms about doing »wrong,« whatever that may be construed as being in whatever generation one finds oneself.
