Corn Shell? Preposterous! The Born Shell was good enough for R & K
and it's good enough for me!
It's ever worse nowadays, though... I see the degenerate kids with
their See Shells and their Tea Shells practicing disgusting
mount-crossings with NSF. I say, enough! A Real System Administrator
uses a text-pass word file-- not White Pages!
When I was a boy, we had SIMPLE systems, that WORKED. Nowadays every
single vendor is suffering from Colonel bloat (which comes from having
too many Major device numbers, of course.) No fancy sysad menus for
us-- when we wanted to re-boot the machine, it was sink-sink-sink and
go! Hah!
Ah, well. Maybe it's time to retrain and get modern after all. Can
anybody recommend a good Pearl book?
