A silly and inaccurate word in the USA. Two friends of mine, both born and raised in Africa, now hold US passports. They are truly African Americans. Both are white and blue-eyed. But in the US, African American means negro or black. If the human race originated in Africa, as is believed, then all USA citizens are African Americans, are they not?
