Yes, I know Charito Warez!
He was my neighbor, yes, really! But, unless the legend, he has something to do with »warez« as we know this word: his son Juan was one of the big dealer for the hottest and newest Software here in LA. And for this reason, the guys used »warez« for new copied software. It was long before internet become popular.
But somewhere Juan Warez married and moved away and i never saw him. Half a year later his father Charito and mother Juanita also moved.
